Goodbye and Thank you, 2012!

You were so good to me and I can't thank you enough for that. Your days were all beautiful - well-spent with the people I love and the people that matter. 

This year, I stopped looking for answers why true love was elusive. I stopped chasing the wrong man. And that my friends, was one of the best decisions I have ever made in my life. :) This led me to start doing things more worthy of my time. 

I joined the company's ER Committee. It surely diverted all my attention and made me move forward easily. I opened my doors to different opportunities. It made me love my job more. It spared me from being saturated with my everyday's tasks at work. 

It opened up friendship with new people; broadened my network, and redeemed my old good self. Charity events. Company events. All were worth the body pain, lack of sleep, stress, etc. It made me see life in different angles. 

Most awesome months of my career life so far. Been recognized, praised, and thanked for. This year I learned to cherish the work that I do and the people who never fail to help me in getting to where I am now. 

This year, I realized I only have a few friends in my life. Not all people who laugh with you are real. In a bunch of 'friends' that I have, old and new, I can only say 10 or so names that are true. This year also made me a better bestfriend to Zsazsa. 

This year, I learned that I am worthy of someone's love and attention. After all the challenges in the love department, I finally have someone I can call my own. The moment I stopped looking was the same time he found me; we found each other. It was not an easy ride, but it was all worth it. I must have done something good to have Beejay in my life. :)

This year, my family is stronger than ever. Ties were tightened. Differences were settled. New babies to watch out for. Amazing life. :)

This year, i didnt get to travel alone but i did explore places with Beej and friends. Pictures are there to speak for itself. :)

And this year, God has been the greatest. As always. You never fail to amaze me with Your plans for me. Isa kang alamat, Lord. Rock on! Hehe :D

Change. Choice. Timing. Self-worth. Love. Never ask for better people and better things; make yourself better first. Be happy. Its never wrong to smile and just be happy.

The Beejay Story

How It All Started

With the above lyrics, you can already tell how our story started. He came into my life just when I told myself I will never ever look for love again, instead I will let love find its way to me. The first meeting was not in any way special; it never occurred to me that months after, we'll fall in love with each other and be officially together.

With no effort at all, he made me want to be with him all the time, he made me want to always hold him, he made me want to always long for him. Things were not easy at first but with time's grace, the Lord paved the way for relationship to prosper.

With him, I felt that I'm back into walking the right path again. That's something no one has ever done in a long time. He made me see the light I badly needed in my life.

Things He Does For Me

I'm a typical girl: gets thrilled with surprises,  feels giddy whenever pampered and praised, needs a lot of attention and understanding, and becomes a monster every month.

And Beej knows for sure how to be everything I want and need.

1. He picks me up and drives me home every time we'll go out. He calls me and sends me SMS and chat messages all the time. He tells me his whereabouts. He feeds me whether I'm hungry or not. He always tells me I'm beautiful even though I know I'm not. He hugs and kisses me even without asking him to. He feels bad when I get mad.

2. He surprised me big time when he went straight to my home in Batangas and introduced himself to my mom. All by himself. Nobody in my existence has ever done that to me. And I don't think any other guy can. I found myself wanting to just hug him tightly when I saw the car parked outside our house and eventually saw him comfortably talking to my mom.

3. He made my mom talk non-stop about how glad she is for what he did. After a long time, I felt I have finally made my mom happy by bringing home someone like him. Its an automatic million pogi plus points to him.

4. He made himself liked and loved by my friends. Not every guy can do that, but he easily won my circle's hearts. He once surprised me with 7 milk teas delivered for me and my office friends. I realized its very important for my friends to love him as well.

5. He puts notes, chocolates, coffee (like the Kopiko 3 in 1 placed inside a Starbucks paper bag), etc. He gives me hugs and kisses during my 15 minute breaks. He walks going to my building just to see me for a few minutes. He holds my hands while walking, driving, etc.

6. He lets me take pictures of us anytime anywhere. He lets me do my thing and supports me all the way. He lets me wear whatever clothes I want to wear.

7. He teaches me things I am not aware of. He patiently explains things that are not easy for me to comprehend. He listens to my every explanation and story.

8. He makes me laugh all the time. With his wit, sensibility, and humor, I know I won't get tired of talking to him 24/7.

9. He makes me behave without mandating me to do so. He trusts me and speaks nothing about my past. He makes me thank the wrong turns I had because if not for those, all of this won't be possible.

10. He makes me love him more every single day. I think that's enough to cover everything. :)

Celebration

"This is just the first of the many many months and years we'll be spending together. Now I know the reason why God made me wait for a long time; He only wants the best man for me. My journey getting to you was not easy, I had to make wrong turns, experience rough roads, and I even got lost in the middle of nowhere. But seeing you, holding your hands, and feeling your love make everything worth it. You are the light at the end of my tunnel, you are the E that completes my life. I love you.

Too much sharing, I know; that's the content of my monthsary email for him. Pardon my cheeziness, its been a while since I last celebrated monthly anniversaries with someone. :)

Its a dinner and coffee date night, after his shift and before mine. He surprised me with a bouquet of roses while we were inside the mall. I felt the redness all over me. It was a mix of happiness, giddiness, shock, and a little bit of shyness on my part while walking with the beautiful flowers in my hand.

Not Perfect But Real

We both came from two different worlds. I never imagined myself going in any toycon event nor attending any cosplay whatever. I never thought I would get attracted to a guy who wears costumes, attends geek meetings, joins geek groups etc. I am pretty sure he never imagined himself dating a girl who knows nothing about his favorites. I can only name a few of our similarities: we move a lot, we talk a lot, we cry a lot. We laugh on small things. We appreciate the simplest of things. We love chicken. That's all. Yeah, I think that's all. It's something refreshing.

Its not even close to perfect and never will I expect it to be. I don't need a perfect man nor a perfect relationship. All I need is someone real, someone who will make me understand why it never worked with anyone else in the past. Whatever the Lord wants for us, I will wholeheartedly follow. This won't be easy but I know, as He says, its gonna be worth it.

Beej is not perfect. He has shortcomings. He's too emotional and too sensitive. But I don't mind having to deal with all of those, if that means to be with him for a long time. I myself is not perfect; I have terrible mood swings, I don't read a lot nor watch sci-fi, and a whole lot more. But he assured me of a future together.

I can only pray. I am lifting everything to Him. One thing's for sure, He has given me a very wonderful gift and that is Beejay.=)

third quarter

In every challenge, there's a much awaited success. however, patience matters, so better smile while waiting rather than continuously whining. 

The third quarter of this year paved way for me to see exactly what the Lord wanted for me. Beej is an amazing man and I cannot thank Him enough for giving him to me. As for my career, a lot of things happened and it everything equates to keeping myself grounded and humbled all the time. 

My life has not been this better; I cannot probably ask for more. Slowly, my future is getting clearer; my only regret is not having to spend it with my dad.

never ever sell yourself short. sometimes, people don't put so much value on things they got for free or the ones they think are cheap. 

been there. done that. i was once a girl who lived by the day, not thinking what's gonna happen next and what actions will bring. selfish, insensitive, naive, and yes cheap. i once offered a low value self to world and i got nothing but torn soul and left out spirit. 

but its never too late. always aim for a good kind of change and start slowly. you'll wake up one day smiling because you know you're back to walking the right path. 

market yourself well; its not an easy process, but its worth every effort. i learned that the hard way. =)

second quarter

time flies, true that. looking back, the past three months made me realize my worth and made me walk the right path. its fun to do a re-run of my days last quarter specially if someone has been consistently making the days even better.

Reason. Season. Lifetime

People come into your life for a reason, a season or a lifetime. When you figure out which one it is, you will know what to do for each person. 

When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed. They have come to assist you through a difficulty; to provide you with guidance and support; to aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually. They may seem like a godsend, and they are. They are there for the reason you need them to be. Then, without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end. Sometimes they die.  Sometimes they walk away. Sometimes they act up and force you to take a stand. What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled; their work is done. The prayer you sent up has been answered and now it is time to move on. 

Some people come into your life for a SEASON, because your turn has come to share, grow or learn. They bring you an experience of peace or make you laugh. They may teach you something you have never done. They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy. Believe it.  It is real.  But only for a season. 

LIFETIME relationships teach you lifetime lessons; things you must build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation. Your job is to accept the lesson, love the person, and put what you have learned to use in all other relationships and areas of your life. It is said that love is blind but friendship is clairvoyant.

Summer

Oh yeah Summer it is. With the scorching heat outside, with your friends posting links, photos, status updates about going to the beach and all that, with all those exciting yet stressful plans of going to wherever, who wouldn't be amused and thrilled about summer, right?


I don't have solid plans yet on how I'm gonna spend my summer. Yeah I have one lined up - that's our company outing on the 21st. What makes me look forward to it is the fact that I'll go there with other committee members a night before the actual and the fact that I'll get to bond with my dear VMS family.


Hmmm, given that I have a crazy schedule and a not-so-funny budget, I don't think this image below is possible..

If someone can treat me for a beach date, why not? Haha. But for now what I want is for my best friend and I to push through with our best friend day at the beach. When? Ewan. :p

I am no branded. I go for whatever is cute and affordable. Something that would add to my mini collection of bags. Something that would make me stay true to my promise of not wearing the same bag twice in a week or two. Yes. That's my kaartehan. I'm not into make-ups, travel, etc. I just love to have bags of any kind. I have all the basic/common colors I believe. But feel free to add more, gimme please? Hehe.


I just thought of posting it because they said, it's a prized possession. I tried to check the value of my 40+ bags in the condo, and there, it amounted to almost 75k to date. Super cheap coz I'm not into collecting those 5k up bags. I'm not crazy and I don't have the luxury to do so. Hehe.

i think everyone has been an avid fan of someone/something once in their lives. i've been an avid fan to basketball players. you have no idea how a basketball game can affect my mood 12 years ago. hehe. i even got into a mini-fight with sampalan blues with Ronald Estrada just because he said 'tanga si Bal David' wahahaha.

never a foe

whenever i get to see your posts full of emotions, i can't help but wonder and be sad. he may be the world's greatest jerk and  the all time liar, but he was not lying when he told me he never saw himself with you; a future with you..marrying you. if only i can post here all the things that he and i talked about.. everything about the future..our future.


i know we never had the things you and him had..and you've been with him almost half of your lives..but did you really ask if those past years are worth your pain and sacrifices today and in the next few years of your lives? do you want to just feel his pity of not leaving you because of your kid? 


i don't know. i can't tell. i may not be in the position to tell. he may have fooled me or threw shit on me, he may have been the jerkest jerk in my life, but he was not fooling everybody when he said he's not married to you as oppose to what you've been declaring to the world.


if there's one thing he never lied about, that is the fact that he'd rather live alone than be with you for the rest of his life. i have a proof, but i will not post it..its just a chat and email, i know. 


just have your life back. give yourselves a chance to grow without each other. let go of him NOT for me, but let go of him for yourself, for him, and for your kid.

I so miss my ever loving BoyFriends: Bryan and Francis. Meron ba kayong kaibigan na tulad nilang dalawa? Ang swerte ko kasi ako meron. ♥

Bilang wala naman talaga akong OFFICIAL-YUNG NAKIKITA NG LAHAT-BOYFRIEND, sila ang naging boyfriend ko for almost a year. Best in ghost story kasi yung recent flame ko eh. Yesss flame,  lakas maka-apoy nyahahahaha. Sila ang nagpapamper at nang-sspoil saken, sa mga arte at angal ko, sa mga demands and sungit ko, sa mga lambing at pang-aasar ko..and most of all, sa lahat ng mga pang-hahaggard at pag-mamando ng mga buhay nila. Miss ko na ang mga pang-aasar nyo saken, miss ko na ang pagsasabi nyo na sina manong guard and friends lang ang market ko..ang pagsasabi nyo saken na wala akong taste sa guys talaga, yung mga pagpapaganda ko pero wit ko pa din makuha ang market kasi kayo ang bet shet.
